Tribal Victims of Crime Funding Opportunity

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) solicits applications for Round 2 of the Tribal Victims of Crime Micro-Grant Program. Round 2 is open to all Tribal communities in Alaska. Round 2 will distribute approximately $5.8 million in grant funds. Applicants may apply in one of two purpose areas:

  1. Purpose Area 1: Planning for a New Victim Services Program Applicants in this area will conduct planning activities to establish a new program. This area includes activities such as completing a community needs assessment, developing a strategic plan, and developing a performance measurement reporting plan. Purpose Area 1 applicants will receive ten preference points as this program’s primary goal is to establish new Tribal Victims of Crime programs.
  2. Purpose Area 2:  Coordination and Expansion of Existing Victim Services Programs For already existing victims of crime programs, applicants will use these funds to expand types of services provided, populations served (elders, youth, etc.), and/or types of crimes addressed. Applicants may apply to conduct activities to support victims of a variety of crimes. Purpose Area 2 applicants who were part of a consortium and apply to this funding opportunity on their own will receive three preference points as a goal of the program is to build local capacity to apply directly to DOJ’s grants.

NOFO questions may be submitted to the Tribal Victims of Crime Program Manager at Applicants may access training and technical assistance (TTA) to develop an application for this NOFO by reaching out to the Alaska Micro-Grant Program Training and Technical Assistance Provider – The Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. (RurAL CAP) at or 907-865-7378.
